Dana Point Summer 2026: The Season Your Weekend Map Moves Uphill

If you have lived in Dana Point for more than a year or two, you have a Saturday rhythm. Coffee, a loop through the harbor, lunch at one of the wharf regulars, maybe a walk to Baby Beach. Summer 2026 is the season that rhythm breaks. Four longtime harbor tenants closed their doors on April 30 for utility work tied to the next phase of construction, and their replacements have not opened yet. The gap is temporary, but it is real, and it is quietly pushing the town's weekend center of gravity up Pacific Coast Highway and into Prado Square while the wharf catches its breath.
